Welcome to Peony Beads
 
Peony Beads was created to place all my pieces of art that are not Beaded Tapestries. I have been working with beads as my medium for the last 10 years. I started creating jewelry after taking a bead class. I found that I wanted to make jewelry for all I knew. I had supplied my family and friends with an abundance of jewelry. I started looking a the jewelry industry and found that there were many talented people in the world creating jewelry of my dreams. I then started purchasing from them and chose to express my creativity in other areas of the art world that others had not touched in a big way . I have always had a passion for miniatures, ever since my mom took me to the Field Museum in Chicago. This museum had a complete room set up with a display of miniature furniture set up in different historic rooms. I was hooked. I did not know until much later, that I would get caught up in decorating miniatures. Bird houses came next, the thought of having a decorative piece encrusted with beads provided me with a satisfaction that my creative side is expanding. Day of the dead art, came to me after meeting this wonderful woman who owns a shop of only day of the dead art. She asked me to make a few pieces and I did. Some of those pieces are listed here on my site. I then have my Miscellaneous items. These items represent massive playing. These items consist at this time of tactile 3D pieces. None of my items are ever duplicated. My pieces are one of a kind. I feel that when you have a one of a kind piece of art it makes you feel special knowing that you and only you will ever have anything like the piece you have purchased.
